After making a mark in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra is spreading her wings internationally through her music and TV show. Looks like she has the intentions of dominating the global scene. The actress, who’s managing her career both in Bollywood and Hollywood with an aplomb, is currently busy with her American show 'Quantico' while back home in India, she has Bajirao Mastani up for release. “If I have to dominate globally, then I have to pay the price for it… I have to manage things. It was my choice to do things that I am doing and be responsible towards it. Quantico is the biggest show in the US. And I’m an Indian star first then an international personality,” the actress said. Managing both huge projects — Quantico and Bajirao Mastani simultaneously, does take a toll on PC’s health, but she’s happy that she is doing a variety of work.

Now that Priyanka Chopra spends a lot of time in America, she obviously has a lot of new friends and a social circle too. But what surprises her is that in spite of the US being inhabited by such a large population of Indians, she's posed with some of the strangest questions by her friends and acquaintances. She tells us, “People are shocked that I can speak fluently in English.They are so ignorant about what is happening in other parts of the world. I am also asked bizarre questions about snake charmers and cows walking on roads. I have to clarify that we do have snake charmers in our country but they aren't our next-door neighbours.“ But that's some of the simpler questions that Priyanka has to face. She battles tougher ones on women's issues, particularly rape. “The worst statement thrown at my face is `India is known for its rape cases'. I hear that in every interview. It's so difficult to defend it. Can you imagine standing there and speaking for people of my country? I want to tell them that it is not just in India. Yes, the spotlight is on us right now and it is gruesome. But it is happening to women all around the world. Why are we not talking about that? I can name five other countries where crime against women is on the rise.But, the fight shouldn't be about where rapes are more. Isn't it awful that rapes are happening at all? It is necessary to set our perspective right,“ says the actress.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopr's maiden American TV series 'Quantico' is involved in a lawsuit filed against producer Mark Gordon amid claims that the idea for the ABC FBI drama was lifted from a 1999 documentary that aired on CNN. Filmmakers Jamie Hellman, Barbara Leibovitz Hellman and business executive Paula Paizes, filed a 35 page complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court, which states that Gordon took the show's premise from their documentary 'Quantico: The Making Of An FBI Agent', reported Deadline. The complaint says Paizes and Gordon formed a business relationship in 2001 and she introduced him to the filmmakers. In May 2002, Leibovitz and Hellman signed a deal with the Mark Gordon Company and 'provided MGC with the film from the Documentary, information which was not included in the documentary, including all of their notes and transcripts related to the film.' The suit says the 'Quantico Project' initially was discussed as a movie, with a storyline that 'included a conspiracy inside the FBI Academy.' After Hellman and Leibovitz executed a three-month extension on their option with MGC, Gordon who was working on another project said in an February 2003 email to Paizes that he "would be happy to discuss this when I get back. It's a good idea." But according to the lawsuit, "neither Gordon nor MGC made any further efforts to work with Plaintiffs to develop the 'Quantico Project.' Alleging breach of contract, fiduciary duty and more, the filing seeks a jury trial, actual and punitive damages and a "based on" credit for Hellman and Leibovitz and their documentary. The Mark Gordon Company had no comment on the suit. 'Quantico' is one of the success stories of the fall broadcast season. The ABC drama centered on a class of FBI recruits, one of whom is a sleeper terrorist, has held ratings week over week and is Sunday's top broadcast program among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who made her international TV debut with "Quantico", has earned a nomination for People's Choice Awards' Favourite Actress In A New TV Series for the American thriller series. Excited by the news, the actress, who plays role of Alex Parrish, a rookie FBI recruit with a mysterious past, said that she feels honored for bagging a nomination in the first year itself. “Wow this is such an honour! First year and a nomination! Thank you @peopleschoice what's say people? #quantico,” Priyanka tweeted. The show also features actors Jake McLaughlin, Tate Ellington and Graham Rogers, who all play FBI recruits. It will narrate their adventures and experiences as they train at Quantico base in Virginia, and secrets of their past start to emerge. People's Choice Awards is the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in films, music and television. The People’s Choice official website houses the voting platform where fans determine the categories, nominees and winners for the annual awards show. Voting will commence from November 3 this year.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is being lauded for her international TV debut 'Quantico' and the 'Daddy's Li'l Girl' is missing her late father Ashok Chopra.
The 'Dil Dhadakne Do' star's father died battling with cancer in 2013. A doctor by profession, he retired from the Indian Army in 1997 as Lieutenant Colonel. "I miss my dad today. Always so happy for my achievements. The pride I saw in his eyes made me fly fearlessly knowing he'd catch me if I fall," Priyanka, who plays an FBI agent whose identity is shrouded by suspicion of being a terrorist in the show, tweeted on 6th October. The 33-year-old, who also has a tattoo of 'Daddy's Li'l Girl' on her wrist, was crowned Miss World in 2000 and went on to join Bollywood in 2003 with 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy'.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has accepted channel ABC's apology for a faux pas it made during a TV show by featuring a photograph of another former Indian beauty queen rather than the "Quantico" star. Priyanka, a former Miss World, was on ABC's "Nightline" show when the chanbnel aired a clip about her rise to fame. However, it ended up using Miss World 1999 Yukta Mookhey's photograph instead. While the show was trolled on social media, Priyanka took it on a lighter vein. Priyanka tweeted: "Lol!" ABC later issued an apology for the mistake and corrected the promo. "Our sincerest apologies @priyankachopra . Here is the corrected story," read a post on the Twitter handle of the network. The 33-year-old actress, who plays an FBI agent in her international debut TV show "Quantico", responded: "Thank you for the correction @Nightline." The twitterati, meanwhile, had their share of fun. One pointed out the network's mistake, and wrote: "Uh oh, @Nightline! That's Yukta Mookhey when she was crowned Miss World. Not @priyankachopra", while another tweeted: "Whoops, ABC promoted their new show with a photo of the wrong Indian woman."

While promoting the new series 'Nightline', the ABC network confused Priyanka Chopra with another Indian actress and former Miss World, Yukta Mookhey. While talking about the 'Quantico' star Priyanka, the network used the screenshots of Yukta being crowned as Miss World. After getting pointed out by a Twitter user about the same, ABC apologized to Priyanka and corrected their story.

American TV series 'Quantico' is a big break for Priyanka Chopra in an international scene but the actress had second thoughts about signing the show as she felt it would require a long commitment. The 33-year-old actress bagged the show during the shooting of 'Gunday'. "I was a little sceptical initially because it's a long commitment. I had to balance television and Hindi films. The script was incredible and I just couldn't say no to it" said Priyanka. "I was shooting 'Gunday' when Kelly Lee, who is into casting, came to meet me. Then I had to go to LA and read the 25 pilots that they had picked for me and tell them the ones I liked. I am happy that I got my first pick, which was 'Quantico'" the actress said. Priyanka said her team and the people in the US have been warm to her.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who is gearing up for the premiere of her 'Quantico' debut international TV show, has revealed the identity of her role of FBI officer Alex Parrish in the show with her fans on social media. Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra has been creating quite a stir with the promos of her upcoming American TV series 'Quantico' and the actress has now revealed the first episode has been titled 'Run'. Building up the excitement, the 33-year-old actress announced the title on her Twitter page. She plays the lead role of Alex Parish, an FBI agent on the thriller series, which marks her debut on American television. "The name of the 1st episode of #Quantico is 'Run.' Can't wait for you to run to your TV on Sept 27 for @QuanticoTV!" tweeted PeeCee. The pilot, penned and executive produced by Josh Safran, also stars Dougray Scott, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Masri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington and Grahaam Rogers. Versatille actress ,Priyanka Chopra, who is currently shooting 'Quantico' confirmed to a fan in a live chat on twitter that the show would come soon to India.

Priyanka revealed in an interview that she has her own girl gang and the boys love to copy her B-town co-stars's antics (read Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor from Gunday) on the sets. She told that she treated her Quantico co-stars to a screening of Gunday after which "the boys have been taking off their shirts and running around the sets in slow motion, like Ranveer (Singh) and Arjun (Kapoor) from the film." To get a taste of Priyanka's movie star status, her Quantico gang needs to visit Mumbai and the actress does plan to host them in her city.Also, Priyanka has an Indian chef on the sets and is feeling quite at home. The actress will be flying back home next month to complete a few portions of Bajirao Mastani and told Mumbai Mirror hat she is in talks to sign two more films.
